Pendants
Pendants are regarded as lighting fixtures that stem from the ceiling and hang down in a variety of configurations. Some pendants have glass pointing downward, while others are constructed in a shape to accommodate a glass or alabaster bowl. Pendants are used in a variety of settings including, foyer entrances, kitchen islands, and sometimes as fixtures over dining areas. Most people consider pendants in their kitchen area where they desire to add a touch of color or a decorative element on a kitchen counter top such a bar, kitchen island or bar. Modern pendants used in kitchens often display color through hand blown Murano glass while other more traditional ones provide more functional lighting.
